Camp at Little Fox Hollow 7/8-7/11

Service Description

Day Camp runs from 9am - 3pm Mon-Thurs. We cap it at a max of 20 campers and have a 4:1 ratio of camper:staff. A typical day starts with Animal husbandry- kids vote each day on which mini farm animal (mini cow, mini donkey, pony, mini fainting goat, chicken, or tortoise) they want to learn about and interact with, next we head to the garden and learn/sample all the goodies. Then, we break for sacked lunches brought from home, and a 30-45min quiet time/ resting on swing beds. In afternoon, we start with an educational hike in the woods, coupled with a different activity each day (shelter building, fire making, panning for gold, terrarium making), we then head to some shade to work on a fun arts and crafts project, and end the day in front yard playing in sprinklers, lawn games, basketball, while we wait for parent pick up. My husband and I have a combined 20+ years of YMCA residential summer camp experience, and we are both RNs with prior Army Nurse experience. Hope this helps!
